Are there any ways to make money from home that aren’t scams?

I’ve tried the daycare thing, and it’s not for me. Are there any other ways to make money from home like data entry….anything that doesn’t require alot of start-up money?
The three most profitable ways to make money online are:
1. Sell your own product or service.
2. Sell your own information that you can make 100% profit on.
3. Earn commissions through selling someone else’s products or services.
Brainstorm what it is that you are going to sell, be it yours or someone else’s products, your own handiwork or information that you have inside of you that you can make 100% profit on, then go about sourcing, making or writing.
The more targeted your audience is, the smaller your niche market, the easier it is going to be to sell to them.
Contrary to popular belief there is no get rich quick scheme, an internet (just like real life) business in most cases takes persistence, time and effort. The only people making a lot of money fast are those that are able to convince others that this is true.
I have a website which gives away tonnes of free information on making money online, it is a New Zealand based site, but the ideas can be used globally.

You could try website design, or perhaps a business where you could go out, obtain whatever inventory you want, and sell that. If you try the latter, be a bit careful: You’ll want to be sure you’re selling something that people want to buy, and that you yourself aren’t getting scammed.
There are other services I’ve heard of that include researching for various purposes. I myself frequently search the web for answers that people might want.
