I know there are a lot of scams out there so be careful! Don’t listen to the people though who say they are ALL scams. They are not actually ALL scams, just a lot of them are! LOL! In fact Yahoo Finance says that for every 1 legitimate home based opportunity there are 57 scams!

At any rate…I am actually a nurse and I love working outside the home but I know a lot of people want or need to work from home. About 2 years ago my sister finally found a legitimate company that’s been in business for 20 years. I don’t know too much about it but she’s been doing it for 2 years now, about 20 hours a week and she makes about $40,000 a year. I know it’s legit because they have dozens of fortune 500 partners, they are members of the US Chamber of Commerce and of course, I’ve seen her paychecks, LOL! She says she loves it! She gets to stay home with her kids which is pretty cool! It’s not a job working for someone else but instead she sets her own schedule and she determines how much she makes. The more she puts into it, the more she gets out. I wish jobs were like that because I know I work way harder than some of the nurses here who are getting paid the same as I am! LOL

As someone who actually works from home, I can tell you that you will not make enough money to pay your mortgage or rent. It is great to supplement your income but it is very ‘touch and go’ at times. I work for 2 major customer service companies. I take orders for major informercials. It is mainly data entry, order taking and some customer service. Customers call in and they know what they want, but we have to use some selling skills to earn bonuses and incentives. I cannot give specifics due to my contracts but I can tell you that you get paid for talk time (not just for loggin on). I average about $400 on one job and $300 (per month) on another job. It’s only a total of about $700 per month for 2 jobs.

Yes its better than clicking around the internet and doing surveys for 1 cent. Most legitimiate jobs require that you pay for the background check and a set up a second phone line. Its good to have a fax machine to send paperwork right away if required. Scheduling is interesting because with one of my jobs, I just log on and wait for calls- there is no set schedule. With my other job, I am scheduled part time. Contact me if you need additional REAL information. I’ve also included links to the BBB. This is where you should go to verify if a company is legit.

A word of caution – be careful of the data entry type of jibs that are offered.

You usually have to pay a signup fee for which you get your inbox flooded with spam wwith very little chance of actually working online for payment.

If you do in fact get a legit data entry job, they are rumoured to pay very little for a huge amount of work.

There are companies that provide legit online survey work but you would have to contact them individually for survey work, for example AC Nielsens is a large market research company that is often looking for online survey candidates.

Just remember there is no easy money on the internet.
